Introduction to Competition A - helps coaches understand why athletes participate in sport and prepares them to teach skills and to design a safe, enjoyable and challenging practice. The focus of the Introduction to Competition A course is Ethical Coaching, Setting the Scene, Planning a Practice, Support to Athletes - Nutrition.

Introduction to Competition B - introduces coaches to the needs of developing athletes preparing for competition. Goal setting, physical training and skill analysis techniques are emphasized as coaches plan a season of competition. The focus of the Introduction to Competition B course is the design of a seasonal plan.

Level 4 & 5 - represent the top level of professional training for coaches and prepared them for leadership roles in national and international sport. It consists of an applied study program of twenty tasks. Level 4 certification requires the completion of twelve of the twenty tasks, while Level 5 certification requires completion of the remaining eight tasks.

Coaching Programs

Introduction to Coaching - This program has been developed to help new coaches understand what some of their new coaching roles and responsibilities will be.

Apprentice Coach Program - This program provides financial resources and assists in developing opportunities for high performance coaches to be a part if Canadian national teams, and improve their strategic and technical skills through training and competition exposure at the international competitions and multi-sport games while working with a Master coach.

Mentor Coach Program - This program provides the opportunity and financial resources for High Performance Coaches (coaches fully certified in Introduction to Competition B (Level 2) and working towards Level 3) to be matched with and meet Master coaches over a one year term.

Coach Visitation Program - This program supports Provincial Sport Governing Bodies with the opportunity to advance the training and education of high performance coaches in Saskatchewan by providing access and exposure to national team coaches.
